Bed riser
A block or cup placed under each bed leg to raise the frame several inches, making it easier for a tall person to sit down and stand up.
A bed riser is a block, cup, or stackable piece placed under each leg of a bed frame to lift the whole bed higher off the floor, typically by anywhere from a couple of inches to eight inches or more depending on the design. It is one of the cheapest ways to change how a bed feels without buying a new frame.
For a tall person, a bed that sits too low means bending the knees much further than necessary to sit down or stand up, which adds strain over time, especially first thing in the morning or after a long day. Raising the bed even a few inches can bring the mattress top closer to a comfortable standing-to-sitting height.
Risers also create extra clearance underneath the bed, which is useful for storage bins, especially in smaller bedrooms where floor space is already tight. Before buying, check the weight rating of the risers against the combined weight of the frame, mattress, and sleepers, and make sure the riser design matches the shape of the bed legs, since round, square, and angled legs are not always interchangeable.
