High Back Office Chair 400lbs, Adjustable Built-in Lumbar Support, Flip Arms, Locking Wheels, Fabric Ergonomic Heavy Duty
A high back fabric office chair rated to 400lbs with adjustable built-in lumbar support, flip arms and locking wheels.
A high back chair is only high if it is high relative to you, which is why tall users should ignore the marketing label and read the backrest dimension. To actually support the upper back and let the headrest do its job, the backrest wants to reach above your shoulder line, and a chair with a 30 inch back that suits an average frame will feel mid-back on someone over 6 foot 2. The detail that matters even more is whether the lumbar support is adjustable in height rather than merely in depth. A fixed lumbar pad is positioned for an average torso, so on a longer spine it lands too low and does nothing; a pad that slides up and down, or a chair with a separately adjustable lumbar mechanism, is worth paying for. Weight ratings from 330 to 400 lb in this category signal frame and base quality more than they signal an intended user, and a steel base with a class 4 cylinder is the practical marker of a chair that will not develop a wobble. Then choose your material honestly. A breathable mesh back flexes with you and stays cool through a long session, which matters if you sit for eight hours; a padded executive back is warmer and looks more formal, and its comfort depends entirely on the foam holding up. Flip-up arms are genuinely useful for pulling close to a desk, and check the arm height range, since arms that cannot rise leave taller users shrugging.
